I'm going to teach!
In our last installment, I found a great home to buy in a town far away. In a seemingly incompatible development, I have also made a five month commitment to a job here in good old Marin, teaching COMP 110 - Introduction to Computers at College of Marin.
By the time you get to my age, you can look over your life and see the rhythm of it -- the patterns and the Big choice points where a decision affected... basically the rest of your (I mean my) life. I have a strong feeling that this is one of those points.

- Stick with the teaching job - stick with my comfy Marin life, slowly but surely work my way into more courses at COM until I am actually making a living wage at it.
- go to Reno - move to a new place, start more or less from scratch.
I am so far choosing Reno. I have momentum to get off my lazy butt and buy something, I'm kind of fed up with my lovely little bubble of easy living in Marin, and I think it's just time for a change.
